Georgia Allen

“I am Gee, I live in Nutley. I am 11 years old. I started seriously painting when I was nine. My dream is to be a famous artist. My painting is of my own cats, Freddie and Smee, painted in acrylics.”

Despite Georgia’s ongoing battle with a condition called Charcot Marie Tooth, she doesn’t let this stop her from doing the things she enjoys, despite finding it difficult at times and rather challenging.

Charcot Marie Tooth is a progressive genetic nerve condition which effects the nerves mainly in the arms, legs, hands and feet  causing considerable muscle wastage, Georgia is experiencing secondary conditions such as scoliosis and hip problems which are related to her significant mobility difficulties.

Georgia copes very well with her condition and is delighted to be part of the art festival.
