“Uckfield Photographic Society is a small and friendly club. We aim to bring together like minded people with an interest in both traditional and digital photography, offering a programme of entertaining, practical and educational sessions.”
Debbie Lias: My hobby consumes my life! I love every aspect of it from the capture of a subject to the final print. Macro, portraiture, landscapes-anything in fact that grabs my attention.
Bob Bell: Rediscovered photography on approaching retirement, always having a passion for landscape photography. Joining UPS gave me a greater appreciation of the many varied aspects of photography which I hope to pursue in the coming years.
David Walton: I became a member of Uckfield Photographic Society to learn and improve my photography. I have achieved this and made some good friends along the way.
Jill Daly: One time town councillor and Mayor of Uckfield, Jill now spends her time on voluntary work, photography, gardening, writing and visiting her family in Switzerland, Germany and Hong Kong.
Alison Buchanan: Based in Uckfield, I am a member of Uckfield Photographic Society and love photography of all kinds but I specialise in Wedding and Portrait photography working throughout Sussex and Kent.
Richard Chapman: I am a local photographer and particularly enjoy landscape photography. I am Chairman of UPS, a local club which caters for all ages and abilities.
Ken Mines: I enjoy form, structure and light which I find in the sculptural, sometimes bizarre landscapes of Lanzarote and Cornwall. In contrast, the liveliness and humour of the streets also appeals.
Sarah Moxon-Hill: I love trying to show ordinary objects a little differently using shapes, form and light. Being a member of UPS has helped me to develop my photography skills enormously.
Stephen Dodd: Having had a lifetime’s interest in photography I now enjoy photographing natural history, especially birds, and relish the challenge of searching for abstract images in the natural world.
Regina Manso de Zuniga: Having decided to become more ‘serious’ about photography, I joined UPS 18 months ago. I have experimented with more black and white due to inspiration gained from others in the club.
David Bird: The variety of interesting topics and techniques in photography, coupled with an interest in computers, has lead to a rewarding way of passing the time during my retirement.
