West, Barry (Bazza)

Over twenty years ago, as a young man, Barry was running his own gardening business when at age 19 in 1996 he was paralysed in a car accident and he was left with just the use of his head.

It wasn’t until 2010 that he started mouth painting after an inspired meeting with Tom Yendell from Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (MFPA). His life changed again in 2013, when after lots of practice he was taken on by the MFPA as a student artist. He likes the use of bright colours and paints many subjects including landscapes and figurative works.

Barry has amazing amounts of enthusiasm and believes he can achieve most things in life. He had many adventures since his accident including scuba diving, skiing, mountain challenges and most recently in February becoming a dad.

His philosophy – One Life – Live It.
